Krystan Rivera began her career as a Public Safety Specialist in 2009 with the Port Lavaca Police Department and Sam Houston State University Police Department before becoming employed by the Rosenberg Police Department in 2012. Director Rivera previously held the position of Communication Supervisor from 2013-2018. During this time, she oversaw the field training program within dispatch, hiring for new employees as well as advancements in technology and equipment within the division.
Krystan Rivera's area of responsibility consists of the management of the emergency dispatch center and she currently oversees a staff comprised of 2 Public Safety Communication Supervisors and 13 Public Safety Communication Specialist.
Krystan Rivera is a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice and she also holds a Masters Telecommunicator License.
