Biography
Jessica Jaramillo-Moreno was born at a Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Arizona, where she was raised until her family moved to Fort Bend County, Texas in 1998. She moved to Rosenberg, Texas in December 2012 with her husband, where they are raising their two sons.
Councilor Jaramillo-Moreno studied Criminal Justice and Biology at Stephen F. Austin State University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2007, and subsequently graduated from South Texas College of Law Houston in May 2011. She passed the Texas Bar Exam in November 2011.
She has maintained a private practice as an attorney since 2011. She practices juvenile law, family law, criminal law, appellate law, and is a court approved mediator.
She taught as a professor at the University of Houston Law Center and is currently employed at the Randall O. Sorrels Legal Clinics at South Texas College of Law Houston.
Councilor Jaramillo-Moreno was elected to serve the City of Rosenberg on May 4, 2024 as Councilor at Large Position 2.
