- Secure loose items such as Christmas decorations, outdoor grills, patio furniture, etc.
- Protect your people, pets, pipes and plants.
- Shut off exterior faucets, drain water from outdoor pipes and insulate them
- If you will be leaving for the holidays, consider turning off the main water supply to your home in case your pipes burst.
- Be sure you know where the main water supply to your home is located and how to turn it off should you need to do so quickly.

12/20/2022 (8:29 a.m.) It should be no surprise that heating equipment, such as space heaters are the leading cause of house fires during the winter months. We will be reviewing safety reminders throughout the day so stay tuned.
12/19/2022 (8:14 p.m.) It looks like we are heading into a hard freeze for Thursday and Friday. We will be in the teens and for an extended amount of time. There is not a lot of time left to prepare to protect those P’s… PEOPLE, PETS, PIPES AND PLANTS
12/19/2022 (12:40 p.m.) We are fortunate here in Fort Bend County to not suffer from frequent frosts or freezes. However, if the temperatures turn to freezing, it is more economical to protect your landscape in advance than to replace it afterwards. Here is some great information from Texas AgriLife Extension - https://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/.../FrostsandFreezes.pdf so you can gather supplies now.
12/16/2022 (7:28 a.m.) Cold weather is on the way and freezing temperatures are predicted. You may want to take a little time this weekend to make sure you are prepared. Check your supplies to make sure you are ready to protect those pipes and plants.
