Rental Property Appeals Board

Overview

The Rental Property Appeals Board (Board) was established by Ordinance No. 2008-08 on December 2, 2008.  It's role is to hear cases as needed regarding the denial of a rental registration permit, or the work required by the Rental Property Inspector.

The Board shall consist of a minimum of ten (10) members, to include the following:

  • 4 members who are residents in the City and not involved in the rental or real estate industry.
  • 2 members who are residents of the City and are renters.
  • 4 members who are representatives of the rental industry, whether they are real estate agents who lease to renters or manage rental property, or owners of rental property.

Members serve a two-year term.  Meetings are held as needed.
