
Charles Miculka - EOW: 1/26/1963
Officer Charles Miculka was struck and killed by a vehicle on January 26, 1963, while chasing a suspect who had escaped from custody. Officer Miculka had transported the man to the Fort Bend County Jail where the man was able to exit the patrol car and started to run through traffic, while still handcuffed. Officer Miculka was struck as he attempted to catch him.
Officer Miculka was 25 years old and had been with the agency for one year. He was survived by his wife and son.

Joseph Cernoch - EOW: 2/9/1978
On February 9, 1978, Rosenberg Police Sergeant Joseph Cernoch succumbed to injuries sustained four days earlier when he was struck by a vehicle while directing traffic. Sergeant Cernoch observed several fire trucks trying to maneuver through traffic at FM 2218 and FM 1640. He began directing traffic to allow the fire trucks to pass. After the last fire truck passed, Sergeant Cernoch began walking back to his patrol car when he was struck from behind by another vehicle.
Sergeant Cernoch was 28 years old and had been with the agency for two years.
