The Parks & Recreation Board (Board) was first established by City Council in 1962, then by Ordinance No. (19)84-30 on February 12, 1985. The Board promulgates the rules and regulations of the efficient development, maintenance, and public and private use of the park facilities. It also promotes and stimulates public interest in park and recreation programs for providing enjoyable recreational experiences.
The Board shall consist of at least seven (7) members, but no more than thirteen (13) and shall be a resident of the city or an owner of property or a business located within the City. Members serve a one-year term. Meetings are held the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm at the Rosenberg Civic Center, 3825 Hwy 36 S, Rosenberg, TX 77471.
