The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Department is a member of the Community Development family though we serve all City departments and citizen requests involving geographic data and mapping.

Addresses Assignment

We are now assigning addresses for those who need it within the City limits of Rosenberg. If you need an address please fill out the Address Request Form.


Tools & Software

To aid in the achievement of these responsibilities the GIS department utilizes:

  • Enterprise level SQL database
  • Epson T7270D large format plotter with scanner
  • ESRI products such as:
    • ArcGIS for Desktop
    • ArcGIS for Serve
    • ArcGIS Online
  • Trimble R2 GPS Antenna
  • Bad Elf GNSS Surveyor GPS Antenna
